If you are looking for a great small city to stop at on a travel tour of France, consider spending a few days in Lille, located in the French-Flanders Northern France region! From here you can easily travel to Belgium or to other places in France. We highly recommend visiting the Roman Catholic Cathedral of Lille, one of France’s national monuments, as well as spending some time in the “Old Town” to take in the views of the 17th century architecture in comparison to the new city’s architecture. Additionally, if you’re looking for somewhere to stay we recommend La Maison du Jardin Vauban and to get the golden room.
TRAVEL TO LILLE
The easiest way, aside from driving, to reach Lille is to take the train, booking your tickets on either the SNCF website or at major train stations in France from wherever you may be traveling from.
