Kaleigh is a part of the small team running Artéfact, a delightfully quaint tea room and creative working space located in the heart of the Marais. With Kaleigh’s background in art, her husband Fadel’s professional experience working for Mariage Frères, their passion for great coffee and Nicolas’ expert taste in fine wine, the concept behind Artefact was born; an interactive space for visitors to come discover, connect and share whilst delighting in quality tea, coffee and wine in a welcoming atmosphere. Located in a beautiful 18th century building, Artéfact is brimming with character. With modern art decorating the old walls, racks of expertly sourced, prepared and packaged tea infusions filling the space, a pop-up art gallery and mini library to mooch around in, Artéfact really is a creative haven to take a welcome pause from the Paris rush. Now, let’s talk tea, by applying scientific precision to a “French method” of tea making, and sourcing quality tea from the farmers themselves, Artéfact knows how to brew the perfect cuppa every time.
Kaleigh may have an American passport, but she could have you fooled; with her elegant style, softly spoken fluent French, as well as her artistic flare, Kaleigh fits the Marais Paris scene perfectly.

Restaurant
O fil Rouge, is a wonderful French bistro serving traditional French cuisine and has a stunning view of the Eiffel Tower.
HaoHao is mine and Fadel’s guilty pleasure. It’s open until 2am, so you can go late for a delicious Chinese late at night, or even early in the morning!
Season is also a favourite of mine!
Favourite New Place
We are big fans of Terres de Café here, so much so that the coffee served in Artéfact is Terres de Café coffee, so my new favourite place would have to be their new boutique at 40 rue des Blancs Manteaux.

Favourite tourist spot
The Sacré Coeur, and Montmartre in general is a lovely area. I would recommend a trip to the Hardware société café if you are in Montmartre, they do amazing brunches!
Maybe less well known to many tourists, but I really like la Maison Rouge, a contemporary art museum curated by a private art enthusiast. They have some really interesting exhibitions that you are not likely to see anywhere else!
